Join Team Lancaster ISD: Attend the Job Fair On March 3

 
 
Lancaster, TX/Lancaster ISD – The Lancaster Independent School District will host its Job Fair on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 9 AM – 12 PM at Lancaster High School located at 200 E. Wintergreen Road in Lancaster, Texas.
 
Lancaster ISD is hiring and offering $5,000 stipends for certified educators in high-need subject areas such as English I & II, Algebra I & II, Dual Credit, and Bilingual (Spanish). The district also has positions in various departments including instructional, support, administrative, custodial and maintenance. Additionally, the district is recruiting professionals to continue the advancement of its Career and Technical Education Health Science Technology program and is allocating a $80,000 starting salary for those who hold an active RN license or higher in the field.
 
“We are seeking educators who are able to guarantee student learning in STEM and Fine Arts and create a pathway for students to graduate with More Than a Diploma,” Dr. Stanley Crawford, Lancaster ISD Director of Human Resources, said.
 
In Lancaster ISD, it is all about the students – their success, achievement, growth and preparation for the future.
 
For the last four years, 100% of Lancaster ISD campuses met or exceeded the standards set by Texas Education Agency. Collectively, Lancaster ISD campuses received more than 100 distinctions during this same time. This past year alone, the district received 37 TEA academic distinctions.
 
Lancaster ISD is the first district in Texas to offer a K-12 STEM curriculum to all students. Each of its six elementary campus is STEM-focused with an emphasis on Health Science Technology, Engineering, Information Systems & Software Design, and Global Arts Communications & Entrepreneurship. The district also bolsters great success in its advanced academic and career technical education programs. This year, it also opened its Lancaster STEM Early College.
 
The district is also known for its strong focus on college readiness, maintaining the highest graduation rate in the Best Southwest for consecutive years, being a leader in early childhood programming and having the highest enrollment numbers of Pre-K students in Dallas County.
 
Lancaster ISD Chief Communications Officer Sonya Cole-Hamilton said, “In Lancaster ISD, we believe that just like we offer our students more than a diploma with our programs and rigorous curriculum, we offer employees more than just a job or paycheck.”
 
In addition to offering competitive salaries, Lancaster ISD is widely known for the passion and commitment and dedication to the development and growth its educators and staff. With this mindset and practice, the district has seen many positive results and is on an upward trajectory and simply aims to add more innovative educators to the team.
